Churchmouse Classics patterns. Yes, you can order them on line, but these
patterns are so nice, it's hard to settle for the "off your printer" version. Same price for a much more
interesting product.
We started off with 8 patterns; ponchos, sweaters, cowls, mittens.

THIS WEEKS RECIPE



This weeks recipe is from Chris, our stamp/scrapbook girl. She had a stamp class last week and
brought her bars for the girls to try. Oh my goodness! They were so good.        

We all wanted the recipe and she said just put it
on the newsletter. These are delicious! Thanks Chris



RASPBERRY CREAM CHEESE BARS



3/4 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cup quick oats
1 1/2 cup flour
1/2 t. soda
1/2 t. salt
2 pkgs. (8 oz.) cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 t. vanilla
1 jar (18 oz.) raspberry preserves
1/3 cup chopped almonds

Cream butter and brown sugar.
Mix oats, flour, soda and salt
Mix above two together. Press 3/4 of mixture into greased 9 x 13 pan.
Bake at 350º for 11-13 min.
Beat cream cheese and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix. Spread over crust.
Drop preserves over cream cheese mixture. Spread evenly.
Combine almonds with remaining oatmeal mixture and sprinkle over preserves.
Bake 25-30 min. or until edges are set and golden brown.
Cool before cutting. Store in refrigerator. Enjoy!

Knitters

Take advantage of the new Techniques Workshops
that Ruth has scheduled this month. There are
several dates & times to choose from, and a special
opportunity to take both classes back to back on
one Saturday.  Treat yourself to learning more
about your handicraft in a fun & relaxed
environment.  With the Circular Knitting workshop
you also receive a new hat pattern Ruth designed.
Techniques in that class and the Colorwork class will
give you lots more options for many new projects

Choose the Thursday afternoon or Monday evening class
time, and meet once a month for Ruth's instruction in the
next step of your project.  Lots of learning & fun while you
successfully make a beautiful pullover.  The pattern has 2
options: one pictured here, and one with a looser funnel
neck and smaller ribbing.  Length and fit are chosen by
you!
