SERVICE PROJECTS

Judy Jelsma, one of our wonderful social knitters had  a great idea for our "Cast Off the Cold"
Christmas Tree. If each of our "social knitters" (whom you are cordially invited to join on Mon. pm, and Wed.
and Fri. ams) and any others who are willing would knit  one hat, we could really fill our tree! It's hard to
imagine now but in a few short months it will be COLD! And these hats, mittens and scarves are very much
appreciated by the folks at Mel Trotter!

We had a generous person drop off a bag of hats for Cast Off the Cold. Thank you so much!

If you would like to donate to any of our service projects,

please go to our
website.

A great new trend is evolving among
adults.
Many adult coloring books are coming on
the market. Why? Doctors have said
that it has several great benefits
for your body and mind:

calms you
trains the brain to focus
generates a creative mindset
exercises fine motor skills
combats stress

On the right we have  three adult
coloring books in now, but more are
coming very soon.

It was another fun night at Knit and Dine.
Lots of good food and great company.
We even had a lesson on how to add a
project to Ravelry. And congratulations
to Penny Daly who won our door prize -
a $20 store gift certificate!

Mark your calendars to join us next month,
September 11th.
