Have you heard about PROJECT LIFE? -It is a simplified scrapbooking system created by Becky Higgins. Her moto is "Cultivate a good life and record it." Photos and story cards are placed in divided sheet protectors - no cutting and no glue. You can "keep up" with your photos and create an amazing album! We will soon be able to order the binders, photo pocket pages and Core Kits (Coordinating title, journalling and filler cards). Many manufacturers have jumped on board and are producing products that work with Project Life. For example, Hero Arts has a new line of stamps for making easy story cards. This time we will explore three different ways to incorporate the popular WASHI TAPE! In addition, we'll show some other unique ways to add flair to ordinary things. Sign up soon and prepayment is required because class size is limited! THIS WEEKS RECIPE This weeks recipe is from Chris, our scrapbook girl. Love her recipes! She said this recipe was a big hit! She also suggested you use a glass pie plate because this pie is so pretty as well as delicious! WHITE CHOCOLATE SILK PIE Ingredients: 1 - 6 oz. Pkg. Pepperidge Farm Milano Cookies, divided ½ cup finely chopped pecans 3 T. Butter, melted 2 (4 oz.) Bars white chocolate, coarsely chopped 1 3/4 milk, divided 1 ( 3-4 oz.) Pkg. Vanilla instant pudding and pie filling mix 2 cups thawed frozen Whipped topping, divided fresh raspberries and shaved white chocolate Place 7 cookies in a resealable plastic bag. Seal bag and crush cookies with a rolling pin. Pour crushed cookies into a medium bowl. Stir in pecans and butter. Press mixture into bottom and 1/4 inch up the side of a 9 in pie plate. Cut remaining cookies in half. Place cookie halves, cut side down, around inside edge of pie plate Refrigerate 1 hour. Heat chocolate and 1/4 cup milk in a 1 quart heavy saucepan over low heat until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth, stirring often. Remove saucepan from heat and let cool to room temperature. Combine pudding mix and remaining milk in a large bowl and stir according to package directions. Stir in chocolate mixture, fold in 1 cup whipped topping. Spoon mixture into cookie crust. Refrigerate 3 hours or until filling is set. Top pie with remaining whipped topping, raspberries and chocolate shavings. Enjoy! Print Recipe Only CLASSES *Many of our classes have pictures.
