This weeks recipe is from Laura, our bead girl.  She said this recipe is addictive and delicious!
This recipe is one of her family's favorites. Thanks Laura!

2 -  (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
2  - (8 oz.) packages cream cheese
1 cup white sugar
1 t. vanilla
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup white sugar
1 t. ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350º.  Grease a 9 x 13 pan. In a medium bowl, mix together the cream cheese,
1 cup of sugar and vanilla until smooth and creamy. I use my Kitchen-Aid mixer for this step..
you could also use a hand-held mixer.  Spread evenly over the crescent layer.

Unroll the second can of crescent rolls and lay them on top of the cream cheese layer.  Do not
press down.  Pour the melted butter over the entire pan.  Combine the remaining 1/4 cup of
sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over the top.  Bake for 25-30 minutes in the preheated oven, or
until the top is crisp and golden. Enjoy!

Country Needleworks is happy to join with the Department of Human Services to collect Beanie
Babies or other small stuffed animals for children entering foster care.  The stuffies will be given
to children who are being removed from their home due to neglect or abuse.  This gives them a
comfort object to hold while they are driven to their new foster home.

Beanie Baby type "stuffies" are easily washed and stored, so they would be preferred, but the
brand name does not matter.  New or gently used are fine.  It doesn’t matter if the tags are still

Donations made to the Department of Human Services are tax deductible, so if you have a large
collection you would like to donate please contact Wendy Wheeler (Jerri’s daughter) and she can
arrange for you to get a receipt. or 616 558-7841

Thank you for bringing a smile to the face of a child during a very difficult time.

you who donated!
