THIS WEEKS RECIPE
We mentioned above that we received 3 new cookbooks from Gooseberry Patch.
We love the beautiful colored pictures in the middle of the Mom's Favorite Recipes
Cookbook. One of the pictures shows a recipe for Spinach Dip. This recipe was the same
recipe I have used for years. It is so good. Check out this delicious Spinach Dip recipe.
ALWAYS-REQUESTED SPINACH DIP
1 cup mayonnaise
2 cup sour cream
1.8 oz. pkg. leek soup mix or
1-1/2 oz. pkg onion soup mix
4 oz. can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
1- 10 pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
1 lb. loaf round pumpernickel bread
Combine first 5 ingredients, using only half the envelope if onion soup mix is used; mix
well. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Slice off top of bread; gently tear out center,
reserving bread for dipping. Spoon spinach mixture into the center of the bread; serve
cold. Serves 8. Enjoy!
